R&D Therm runs a dedicated stainless steel workshop at MIDC Satpur, Nashik, with segregated tooling and consumables to prevent cross-contamination. SS fabrication covers cutting, forming, welding, machining and finishing under one roof.
Stainless steel fabrication capabilities
The stainless steel bay is a controlled-atmosphere workshop of 10,000 sq ft under shed plus a 5,000 sq ft open yard, served by 10 T, 3 T and 2 T cranes. Tooling, consumables and grinding stations are segregated from the carbon steel bay so stainless work is never cross-contaminated.

Fabrication processes
Cutting, forming, welding, machining and finishing are all carried out in-house, which keeps the whole fabrication sequence on one site.
- Cutting — CNC plate cutting, stainless steel up to 32 mm; pipe cutting up to 8 inch
- Forming — plate rolling to 2,500 mm width and 16 mm thickness
- Welding — manual TIG / MIG, SAW column and boom, 6-axis robotic welding
- Machining — radial drilling and conventional lathe
- Finishing — pickling and passivation, with surface finish below 0.4 μm available for sanitary applications
